Julia Barretto is finally giving her fans a peek into one of her most personal spaces—her walk-in closet.
On Saturday, November 21, 2020, the 23-year-old ABS-CBN actress didi the virtual tour on her YouTube channel, and revealed some interesting details.
She started by explaining why she has two entrances to her closet.
In her vlog, she said, "I have two doors coming to my closet. One is coming from my bedroom and one is coming from my hallway so that people who need only to be in the closet, hindi na nila kailangan dumaan sa bedroom ko para makapasok."
Upon entering Julia Barretto's closet from the hallway, one is immediately drawn to her collection of designer shoes and bags.
Her designer pieces are displayed in well-lit glass cabinets and organized by color.
Julia was very particular about the lighting, as she wanted her walk-in closet to feel like her own private boutique.
She said, "When we were building this house, tinanong sa akin nung gumawa ng closet ko was ano iyong important for me pag sa bag collection ko and sa shoe collection.
"I specifically said that I wanted these kinds of lights because ito iyong palagi nating nakikita sa mga stores, and it’s just so nice to look at your items pag may ganitong light. You feel like nagsha-shopping ka lang all over again pero sa iyo na iyong mga items."
Her vanity area is along one side of the wall, underneath windows that allow the natural light to come in.
"It’s a very simple space. I didn’t really want anything so fancy. I wanted everything talagang in place, hindi talagang kita iyong gamit lahat. Kind of a minimalist."
She credited Issa Guico Reyes of Neat Obsessions for helping her organize the items on her vanity table.
Julia said, "Siya talaga iyong nag-ayos ng lahat ng ito and I just took it from there."
She added, "It’s very clean lang. I want everything clean."
Her make-up, skincare, beauty tools, supplies, and electronics are neatly stacked on each drawer of the table.
Meanwhile, Julia keeps her perfume collection inside the cabinets found on the left side of her vanity table.
Julia's clothes can be found on the other side of the room. Her denims are inside a floor-length cabinet, while her dresses hang on an open cabinet.
Her pambahay and workout clothes are also neatly arranged in one cabinet.
The center island is where she keeps her accessories and jewelry.
Julia revealed that she is not really a fan of expensive jewelry yet, and most of her accessories are only for "styling purposes."
One of the drawers in the center island cabinet is dedicated to sentimental pieces.
She said, "These are the old polo shirts of my grandpa. I kept them, and I have photos of him na iyan iyong mga suot niya so very, very important to me.
"Meron kaming nilagay na rosary diyan. This rosary was given to me by a fan. I really liked the design and it was just so special because it’s just the sign also that I have very thoughtful fans who remind me to stay faithful."
Julia's grandfather, Miguel Barretto, passed away on October 15, 2019.
The other important item inside this drawer is her security blanket, which she has kept for years.
"It’s just as old as me. It’s 23 years old. I’ve had this blanket since I was born and I can’t live without it and sleep without it. It’s there."
Frames of dried flowers hang on the walls to give the room more personality. Julia revealed these were flowers she received from special people.
"I have some special flowers that I chose to have framed. I have a friend who does this. On Instagram, they’re called @averocrafts and they’re amazing."
Julia lives near her mom Marjorie Barretto's home.
