Alden Richards revealed he’s already in the middle of moving into his new home.

The 33-year-old Kapuso actor shared the news during Scavolini’s showroom grand opening at Proscenium, Rockwell, Makati City, on September 17, 2025.

"Actually, parang eto na nga din yung launch," Alden told the press, including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), refering to his announcement.

Alden has kept most details about the move under wraps, sharing only snippets on his Instagram Stories and resharing interior designer Patrick Henri Caunan’s posts.

He hopes to move in early next year once the renovations are finished.

Alden said, "Everything is being done under the covers.

"I just repost the Instagram stories of my very, very good friend, the very loving mom, the very, you know, great interior designer, Pat Caunan.

"He's, I mean, he's the one who introduced me to all of this. And I am just so, I'm just so happy that, you know, Scavolini [Italian home furnishing company] is going to be part of my home soon.

"Probably I'll able to move early next year po."

Alden says he’s chosen a bungalow-style house after about six years of condo living.

He explained, "It's a house, yes, kasi parang, of course I really appreciated living in a condominium, but eventually kasi parang, you know...

"I think, I've lived in a condominium for almost five years and then right now, parang it's about time tumira naman ako sa bahay talaga. Pero dito pa rin sa Manila."

Alden didn’t say which city, area, or neighborhood he’s moving to.

"Secret lang kung saan, malalaman niyo rin iyan soon," he said.

Alden also assured that the money for the house didn’t come from corrupt government funds, stressing it was earned honestly.

Alden told the press, "Disclaimer, everything came from hard-earned money. And clean money so, hindi tayo sasabit diyan."

ALDEN RICHARDS' NEW BACHELOR PAD

While Alden is keeping the home's location private, he has shared several details about the interior design he’s planning for his bachelor pad.

Asked about the theme, he answered, "Everything is Italian."

Alden also noted that his new home features a minimalist design and color palette.

"It's muted tones, muted earth tones," the Stars on the Floor host told the press.

He continued, "Walang loud [colors].

"Siguro magkakaroon lang lang loud in, when it comes to art pieces.

"Pero, I mean, Patty and I made sure na it's not gonna be ano an eyesore for guests eventually."

Alden said the new home's interiors are a far cry from his family home in Santa Rosa, Laguna, and are designed instead as his personal haven.

He explained: "When the team and I, like Pat and I talked, about how I wanted my new home to look like and how it's gonna be done, parang this is the first time kasi that I'm really doing something for myself.

NOOD KA MUNA!

"I mean, yung bahay kasi namin sa Santa Rosa, Laguna, I specifically had that house made for my family, for my family's, you know, especially my grandparents live with me.

"So I really had to have, uh, one bedroom sa baba. And then I had to configure everything for the needs of my family."

Alden continued, "Right now, it's just so, you know, rewarding and it just feels so good to have some, to work on something that's for myself naman.

"'Cause, siyempre, ganun kasi ako parang unaan ko muna yung, the ones that's close to me before myself.

"But I think this is the right time for me to be able to do it for myself naman, kaya I'm just so happy with this journey. You know, building my... a place that I can actually call my home."

With that mindset, Alden said he intentionally designed the house to please himself, not to entertain.

"Hindi kasi ako talaga mahilig mag-invite," Alden shared.

"I only invite important people in my home and the, the ones that really matter. So I'm not a fan of, you know, hosting."

That’s also why he didn’t focus on making the space family- or child-friendly—for now, it’s configured for his present needs rather than future plans for settling down.

Alden explained: "I plan for the future, but there are certain things in my life right now na I live by the moment.

"Na parang right now, this is what's at hand, which is the new home.

"Then, ginawa ko siya based on my... what I wanted it to look like at the moment and not preparing for the future, well, in that aspect yung having a family and settling down.

"We can go there with the house design, but right now it's really configured for me."

ALDEN RICHARDS' NON-NEGOTIABLES AND MUST-HAVES

Members of the press also asked Alden about his non-negotiables and must-haves for the new home. Space tops his list.

"For me, siguro, ang non-negotiable, space.

"I want a lot of space. I don't want cluttered rooms and areas in my home.

"Minimalist kasi ako, e, and ang ikinaganda kasi ng minimalist, mas madaling mag-linis ng bahay.

"So that's a non-nego for me. I don't want a cluttered design. Ayaw ko yung maraming nangyayari, yung magulo.

"What I want is something that I can wake up every morning, you know, and thank God for another day na walang masyadong marami nangyayari sa paligid ko.

"And that's how the house looks like right now. Actually, I have it all rendered already. Pero secret lang muna."

When asked which space in his new home he’s most excited about, Alden said it’s the cycling room that also doubles as his gym.

"It has its own cycling room. Yun ang isa sa mga pinalagay ko, and it's also gonna be my gym.

"So siyempre, yung health talaga yun ang dapat kong pinag-iinvest-an at the moment because medyo busy tayo, sunod-sunod.

"So we can't really be sick. You know, health is luxury for me."

For her must-haves, he said, "As in yung beanbag kasi number one, dali niyang ayusin because I have OCD [Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder].

"And then, at the same time, comfortable siya as long as... full coverage nung katawan mo yung naka-sink into the beanbag.

"So yun, any room na may ganun, that's the place for me.

"Kasi minsan, most of the time, whenever during my down times I don't want to lay on my bed if I'm not gonna be sleeping.

"Kasi inaayos ko yun, e, parang hotel-finish yung kama ko palagi whenever I fix it."
