It has long been the advocacy of GMA-7 actress Heart Evangelista to be kind to animals.
Living with three cats and five dogs, the Simparica Trio ambassador said in an interview, "It's nice that I have my fur buddies to keep me company... especially since my husband's always away for work."
Of course, because her busy husband is Francis "Chiz" Escudero, the governor of Sorsogon currently seeking to return to Senate.
And it's no secret that Heart's favorite companion is her aspin Panda.
She said, "I'm always with Panda... she goes with me wherever I go even if I'm shooting or filming, except when I travel."
Panda's "siblings" are Yogi, Casper, Khaleesi, and Chico.
She just loves them all, "I’m blessed to have them with me. Dogs can love you unconditionally and are so pure in this world."
The 36-year-old Kapuso actress pampers them in return, and how!
"What we can give in return is their happiness, comfort, and well-being so they can stay with us for a long time.
"I show my love for them by making sure that they’re healthy by giving them the right dog food or I even have their food cooked with boiled carrots and other really healthy food because I want them to have long lives with me...
"I wish I can take them with me to a trip somewhere where they can run.
I think that's always the best especially now because we're always just stuck at home."
She buys them designer scarves and collars, too.
"I love spoiling them and making sure they’re always comfortable so although some of my dogs sleep with me, I still put beds or mats in little corners of the house.
"I love giving them treats cause they love them!"
Heart's three cats are named Mingning, Chuni, and Mina.
She has also adopted a pet lamb, which she named Bambino.
