However, she admits that even she puts spending limit on her shopping.
"Yes, of course, I have a limit," Small confirmed to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press in an interview last May 8, 2023.
The interview took place during the grand launch of Small Laude's endorsement deal with luxury jewelry brand DiaGold, held at Shangri-La at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Despite having the means to splurge, Small is well aware of the importance of being mindful of her spending habits.
Just like anyone else, she understands the value of saving money before making any extravagant purchases.
"Of course, nag-save rin ako," she said.
When asked about her money-saving strategy, Small answered, "I try not to spend so much and shop."
INVESTMENT PIECES
As seen on her shopping vlogs, Small exerts a degree of restraint with her shopping choices.
She also sets a budget for her shopping splurges; however, she makes exceptions for items she considers truly worthy.
She said, "You know, when it's worth it... if it's worth it, I'll get it. The price should be good and worth it."
Small considers jewelry to be excellent investment pieces, and she doesn't hesitate to spend on them, especially if they are earrings "na nakaka-dyosa and so bongga."
She further said, "I like those... like the one that's cascading earrings, and like, big piece of each [earring]. But it's cascading. That's my favorite [when it comes to] earrings."
Moreover, she defies conventional boundaries by fearlessly wearing her favorite pieces, even at the beach.
Small said, "It doesn't matter where. I just wear it when I want to. I don't choose the place. But you know what? When I like [it], I really wear it. Wherever."
Small's appreciation for jewelry as investment pieces stems from her own mother, Elisa Eduardo.
When asked about her mother's key advice regarding purchasing jewelry, Small shared, "I should get nice pieces, invest on nice jewelry, and it should not be like yung mga basta lang you like. You have to see the quality."
Regarding diamond engagement rings, Small provided valuable insights. She recommended prioritizing clarity and whiteness, regardless of size.
"It should be clean and white even if it's a small piece," she said, referring to diamonds.
"It should not be big but yellowish. It should be clear, clean, and the color should be white."
Expanding on her advice, Small highlighted the significance of investing in high-quality diamonds even if they are small.
She explained, "Of course, the [resale] amount and it does not go up when it's not [of quality]. So your investment should be, like, really nice diamonds."
