Social media influencer and entrepreneur Rosmar Tan has stirred quite a buzz online with her disclosure about her eponymous skin-care brand pulling in between PHP5 million and PHP13 million every day.
She made the revelation in an episode of Toni Gonzaga's vlog, Toni Talks, uploaded on YouTube last Sunday, November 27, 2023.
In the interview, Toni opened the topic when she mentioned her sister Alex Gonzaga telling her about Rosmar raking in PHP5 million a day from her business.
But Rosmar clarified as a matter of fact, "Yun po yung medyo mahina na ako nun."
She continued, "Nung may time po na kasagsagan ng sobrang-sobrang lakas po, pumapalo po minsan ng 13, 10 to 13 [in millions of pesos]. Pero kasama po na yung puhunan."
ROSMAR TAN'S INVESTMENTS
Thanks to her brand's success, Rosmar enjoys a comfortable life with her family, and has invested in various properties, including luxury vehicles.
She revealed, "Ngayon po meron po kami Ferrari, [Lamborghini] GT-R, Porsche."
Rosmar also disclosed that she and her husband, Nathan Harisson, have invested in approximately 20 real-estate properties.
She gave her reason for showing off her properties, not to brag, but as a demonstration of the strength of her skin-care brand.
BUDDING ENTREPRENEUR
In the same interview, Rosmar reminisced about the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey, highlighting that her business instincts were already evident back when she was in elementary school.
"Tapos parang kailangan mo siyang mabenta.
Rosmar's breakthrough moment occurred when she rescued a bulldog facing euthanasia due to mange.
Seeking treatment, she followed a doctor's advice to use the Madre de Cacao plant.
However, with a business mindset, she had additional plans beyond just treating her pet bulldog.
She continued, "Kumontak ako agad kay papa.
EXPANDING, DIVERSIFYING
That was a turning point. Rosmar gradually expanded her business portfolio to include a pet shop and a pet cafe.
From there, she started diversifying. She opened a samgyupsal restaurant, a massage and parlor business, and a thrift shop.
Regrettably, the pandemic happened, "Biglang nung nagpandemic po, ayun, lagapak lahat, sabay-sabay.
It was also during this period when Rosmar ventured into the detox drink business, and later started her cosmetics line called Rosmar's Kissables.
Unfortunately, the makeup business faced a setback when a competitor uncovered it did not have FDA approval.
In November 2021, Rosmar and her husband Nathan tied the knot and received a PHP1.4-million cash gift from their family.
They used part of it as a downpayment for a car and the remaining PHP300,000 as capital for their skin-care business.
Telling her story in Toni's vlog offered Rosmar a chance to give advice to would-be entrepreneurs.
Rosmar further revealed that they initially ordered PHP700,000 worth of products.
Gradually, they were able to pay the remaining PHP400,000 balance for their orders.
All hers to give, Rosmar has handed over her other businesses to her siblings to enable them to earn on their own and has kept her focus on her skin-care brand.
