Alden Richards's pilot dreams finally take flight.
On July 30, 2025, the Pambansang Bae cleared the runway for a whole new journey.
At the induction ceremony of Alpha Aviation Group—a flight training provider in Clark, Pampanga—Alden appeared with his family by his side, clad in his aviation school uniform.
“Day 1 starts today,” he said on social media.
Talking to 24 Oras, Alden shared the magnetic pull that drew him to the cockpit.
“I’ve always been so curious paano lumilipad ng ganung kalaki at kabigat na sasakyang panghimpapawid.
“Tapos, of course, how it’s being navigated sa langit from point A to point B. Paano nakakarating, paano nag-t-take off.”

ALDEN'S GOAL OF FULFILLING PARENTS' UNmet DREAMS
Alden's decision to pursue aviation isn’t just a flight of fancy.
He’s soaring on a mission bigger than himself—fulfilling his parents’ dreams, especially the ones they never had the chance to reach.
“Since nagkaroon ako ng isip sa mundo, parang meron akong core objective to fulfill my parents’ dreams na hindi nila natupad in their lifetime,” he revealed.
“And, surprisingly, kagaya ng showbiz para sa nanay ko, for me, ito naman dream ni dad for himself, and eventually nagustuhan ko na rin.”
Despite his busy schedule, Alden is winging it with a fierce commitment and time management.
“There’s no such thing as a busy schedule when you make time and you have time management,” he stressed.
“Time management is the key. Definitely, this year for ground school, and then tuluy-tuloy na ito.”
He has a two-year flight plan ahead.
“After I graduate, I’m gonna be able to fly a commercial plane.”

JOURNEY TO THE SKY
In April this year, Alden gave a sneak peek of his aviation journey by visiting a flying school in Clark, Pampanga.
A month before this, he told the press at the contract signing of his company Myriad Entertainment Corporation and business partner Viva Group of Companies about his intention to pursue this goal.
“Captain Alden at your service, so sobrang excited rin ako,” he chimed back then.
When asked by PEP if he has any fear of flying, Alden quickly replied, “Wala, wala po.
“Nag-skydive nga po ako sa Dubai, e. As in mahilig po ako sa matataas na lugar.
"It gives you a bird’s eye view of everything. Parang figuratively speaking, it gives you… ine-eject ka niya sa mundo kapag nasa itaas ka.
"So, yeah, I love to fly. Let’s go!”
At the time, Alden revealed that he is studying under a scholarship grant.

In a 2023 interview, Alden had mentioned that he initially wanted to be a pilot, but gave up on it because flying school is expensive.
A few more years back, it can be recalled that Alden had a taste of pilot life.
This happened when he played an aviator during Eat Bulaga!’s Holy Wednesday Lenten special, "God Gave Me You," in March 2016.
