Two beauty queens made life-changing crossovers this year.
Catriona Gray, former Miss World Philippines titleholder, jumped to Binibining Pilipinas and is now the new Miss Universe Philippines titleholder.
Katarina Rodriguez, former Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental, just won the Miss World Philippines 2018 crown last night, October 7, at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
With Catriona and Katarina representing the Philippines in two of the top international beauty pageants, pageant fans expressed their confidence they would be bringing home the crowns.
Some have already claimed this year as the "Year of Cat x Kat."
One fan tweeted, "Miss Universe 'Catriona Gray' and Miss World 'Katarina Rodriguez' are both title holders and already have an experienced representing PH internationally.
"This year's batch of queens would make a huge contribution in Philippine pageantry. Goodluck ladiesss!!"
Another fan added, "From Cat-to-Kat, real quick. It's gonna be a tandem of Catriona for Miss Universe and Katarina for Miss World. Show them ladies what you've got! Conquer the whole universe and the whole world. Bring home the crowns."
Miss Universe 2018 will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on December 16, while Miss World 2018 will be held at Sanya, China on December 8.
