Lucy Torres posts on Instagram the daily prayer that she and daughter Juliana Gomez have been reciting for 12 years.
The mother-daughter duo starts their day with it, often before the young one goes to school.
Her post reads: "It has been our little routine, from your first day in Kindergarten to your last day in High School (and basically every time you had to leave the house)....
"you'd enter our room to kiss us, and I would give you my blessing after which Daddy would bring you to the car....
"Me: 'Mama Mary.....'
"Your reply: '......cover me with your blue mantel of protection.'
"And then me again: 'Jesus......'
"Your reply: '....seal me in your most precious blood.'
"Then off you'd go running, smelling of toothpaste and fresh rain.... and through the years I've seen you in pigtails, braids, a ponytail, with bangs, without, in different school uniforms.....
"Now you are off to college. Where did the time go, my little love [heart emoji] also, our precious little routine shall go on.....and on......"
Juliana graduated from high school on June 1, 2019.
In September 2018, the young model-volleyball player expressed her desire to be part of a university's varsity team.
Her ultimate goal is to be part of the national team and make her dad Richard Gomez proud.
Richard became part of the country's national volleyball team in 2014. Before this, he represented the Philippines in rowing, fencing, and shooting competitions.
