It's a boy for Rodjun Cruz and Dianne Medina.
Early on, Rodjun had a gut feel that Dianne was carrying a boy, and he was "overwhelmed" to know that he was right.
The future father said, "Sobrang happy ko talaga.
"Hindi ma-explain ang feeling. Overwhelming.
"Actually, hindi ko talaga alam sasabihin ko. Speechless talaga."
Rodjun has started imagining the fun things he and his son will do in the future.
"Excited ako sa future namin," the soon-to-be father said.
"Alam ko madami kami magiging bonding moments kasi paglaki niya, siyempre, maglalaro kami ng basketball.
"Gym kami together, training kami.
"Thankful talaga ako.
“Kahit naman boy o girl iyan, kung ano iyong blessing sa amin ni Lord, mamahalin namin iyan sobra."
The baby was an "answered prayer" for him and Dianne.
And after knowing for sure that he was going to have a son, Rodjun remembered his late parents.
Rodjun's parents, Melody "Beth" Cruz and Rodolfo Ilustre, had both passed away.
Rodolfo died in 2009 because of kidney failure, while Beth died in 2019 because of pancreatic cancer.
"Iyong apo ng mama at papa ko, lalake na naman," he said, smiling.
His older brother Omar has a son named Pael.
Rodjun is the second child among three boys. His younger brother is GMA-7 actor Rayver Cruz (left).
The couple's gender reveal party took place at home, and was witnessed by their families, thanks to the video conference app Zoom.
