Max Collins and husband Pancho Magno have welcomed their baby boy!
According to a report on GMANetwork.com, Max gave birth to her firstborn on Monday, July 6.
Max and Pancho, however, have yet to post details—including the name of their baby—on their social media accounts.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last April, Max revealed her decision to deliver her baby through water birthing.
The 27-year-old Kapuso mom felt it was safer to give birth at home at this time when hospitals are inundated with COVID-19 cases.
Explaining, she said, "Kasi, imbes na isipin, at hindi kami sure, you know, we’ll just wait na lang for the virus to end. Obviously, hindi natin alam kung kailan mag-e-end, so iniisip namin na mas safe na lang sa house."
For home birthing, preparations involved getting a doula (or a labor support companion) and a midwife.
It was also a great bonus for the actress to have a husband who is a registered nurse.
Max said, "Sa online classes namin, when the doula would explain certain things na hindi ko nage-gets, nage-gets niya kasi nurse naman siya.
"We talk about, like, the cutting of the umbilical cord or the placenta, things like that, you know, things that I'm not really aware about, mas alam niya.
"And sa kanya naman, more of the medical perspective from a hospital, as opposed to holistic, which is what we're doing now with home birth, it's a holistic practice.
"Pero siya, he tells me the benefits of epidural, kung ano iyong iba kong options sa hospital."
Max announced her pregnancy on Instagram on December 25, 2019.
The couple announced the gender of their child through a vlog on their YouTube channel in March 2020.
In 2017, Max and Pancho were married at a Christian wedding ceremony held at the grand ballroom of the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
