It has been two weeks since Kapuso star Max Collins gave birth, and the new mom finds it "mahirap na masaya."
Max and husband Pancho Magno welcomed Baby Skye on July 6, Monday, through home birthing.
In an e-mail exchange with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on July 20, 2020, Max opened up about the "mahirap" part—her problem breastfeeding her son because he won't latch.
She said, "Luckily, it's not hard for me to produce milk, but it's hard to breastfeed.
"Mahirap mag-latch si baby, to pump medyo masakit, it's been challenging."
But she's not complaining at all.
The Kapuso actress remarked, "Iba yung fulfillment."
Max has been happily hurdling the challenge, and making sure she's been eating right for her baby, which means less intake of coffee, her favorite perk-upper.
"I was excited to have more coffee after ko manganak and then I found out na hindi pala puwede, so sticking to one cup a day.
"I consider myself a factory, whatever I ingest, mapupunta kay baby.
"I try to drink a lot of sabaw and malunggay, anything healthy para sa kanya."

EXCITED PARENTS
Max and Pancho, feeling blessed, are tackling their shared responsibilities looking after their unico hijo with ease.
Max said, "Mostly me kasi at this stage in his life, he just wants milk.
"With Pancho, they also have their skin-to-skin time, he's the one who sunbathes him.
"They have precious moments like that."
For his part, the 33-year-old dad said, "I make sure na he gets the vitamins from the sun kasi kailangan by 6:30 a.m. ilalabas ko siya.
"Yun yung best time na makapag-sun bathe siya. Ako na din naghuhugas ng bottles niya, nagpapalit lagi ng diaper niya.
"Anything I can do to help Max, I'm always available for them."
