More than a week after Bettina Carlos and Mikki Eduardo exchanged wedding vows, she continues to look back and feel grateful.
In an Instagram post, Bettina reflected on the two blessings she got during her wedding.
The first was good weather since the forecast on December 2, 2020 was: It would rain.
The second was Mikki himself, her now partner in life.
Bettina wrote (published as is): "10years of being a solo parent. And then I am no longer one.
"Someone else will enter Gummys room in the mprning when she screams MUUUMMMYYYYY.
"Someone else will kiss her goodnight at night. Someone else will pray with us at night. Someone else can join her for movie nights when Im tired and sleepy.
"Someone else will lead devotions and teach her about the Bible. Someone else will teach her math (finally!!!).
"Someone else will take her out on dates. Someone else will come to her when she cries for help or when shes hurt.
"Someone else will teach her, train her and love and lead her.
"Now someone else is finally with me."
Bettina added in her long post, "Im not anticipating conflict, I know they would happen eventually. Praise God there has been none so far!
"But I know that for as long as we commit ourselves to the Lord and to each other daily, we communicate about everything and we consider each other and others more important than ourselves, then we can preserve peace and joy.
"Thank you Lord for my husband, our new family. Were excited how You will disciple us through one another.
"Thank you for being the Faithful God that You are, to hear and honor prayers- from the weather to having a husband. THANK YOU LORD!!"
Gummy is Bettina's daughter from a previous relationship.
In another Instagram post, the celebrity mom recalled the times Gummy stood witness to her past heartbreaks.
Bettina wrote: "Nakita na akong umiyak ng anak ko sa maling tao. Nakita ko na ring gumuho ang pag-asa sa mga mata niya na para bang 'ayyy akala ko siya na...'
"May panahon pa ngang sinisi niya ang sarili niya kung bakit hindi ako makapag-asawa (sabi ko kasi hindi kami para sa lahat. Hindi lahat ng magulang ng single na lalaki ay papayag magpakasal sa babaeng may obligasyon na. Yun naman ang totoo at alam ko yon. Pero paano namin malalaman kung siya na nga ang The One? Kung tanggap kami mula't simula.)."
All that have finally come to pass with Mikki now in the picture.
More than anything else, Bettina is thankful that his family has welcomed her and Gummy into their home.
"Kaya ang tanggapin ako at yakapin, lalo na ang anak ko, ng pamilya ni @mikki.e.eduardo nang buong-buo, na parang walang 'mali' sa amin, (bago pa man kami nagkita ng personal,) ang siyang pinakamatamis na kapalit ng lahat ng luha at pighati ng nakaraan.
"Labis labis na wala na akong maalalang mapakla. Hehehe."
