Dimples Romana became emotional when her 18-year-old daughter Callie Ahmee left for Australia to pursue her dream of becoming a pilot.
On Monday, March 28, 2022, Dimples took to Instagram to share her photo with her unica hija before Callie flew to Gold Coast, Australia, for her college studies in aviation.
The Kapamilya actress wrote in her caption, "TODAY, we officially take the training wheels off [emoji] TODAY anak, I give you LOVE that sets you FREE, a kind of LOVE that LETS YOU BE [moji]
"TODAY, you get to be on your own Ate. I am beyond thrilled to watch you show everyone just what makes a Romana-Ahmee woman special [emoji]
"Last photo before I drive to a shoot and before @papaboyetonline brings Ate @callieahmee to the airport to embark on the greatest adventure of her life [emoji]"
Towards the end of her post, the 37-year-old celebrity mom wrote a reminder to Callie, "Take the first few steps with extra care ate. You got this! [emoji] #AngHirapMagingIna [emoji] Kaya ko pa ba? [emoji]"
Dimples had mentioned in a previous interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), that Callie would be gone for three years to study in Australia.
She said in the interview that her husband Boyet Ahmee, more than her, found it difficult to accept the inevitable when Callie would embark on her own life's journey.
"And tayo, alam naman natin na ang roots ng mga anak natin ay nasa tahanan natin. But we also need to give them wings, you know.
"When they leave the house, there’s no guarantee naman they will still want to come back.
"Ako, pinagdarasal ko na lang na after niyang mag-college, whatever she decides on. I think, mas si Boyet pa ang hindi open."
Callie's sibling is seven-year-old Alonzo. She will soon have another baby brother.,
Dimples and Boyet are expecting their third child.
