Dani Barretto is surprised that her two-year-old daughter Millie is showing interest in babies.
"Parang may interest na siya sa babies so medyo natatakot ako," the 29-year-old celebrity mom revealed to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview last June 20, 2022, during the Watsons Save and Switch Shopping Party at SM Megamall.
She continued, "Parang gusto na niya ng kapatid, pero hindi pa ako ready."
While she admits that she's not yet ready to have another baby this year, Dani said she and her husband Xavi Panlilio have been discussing when they can start trying for another baby.
She said, "Ang plano namin ni Xavi, once our house is fully done, then we’re gonna have our second baby na.
"Hopefully next year, late next year, baka may baby number two na kami!"
The couple has already begun the construction of their "forever home," which will be finished by the first quarter of 2023.
PROTECTING MILLIE FROM COVID-19
Meanwhile, one of the many challenges Dani has to overcome as a parent is to continuously protect her daughter from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dani said she has started to limit her daughter's activities outside the house, now that there is a rising number of cases in the country.
She said, "Ang hirap ilabas ng mga bata ngayon, lalo na cases are rising. So as much as possible, we do our best to give activities at home."
But she does allow Millie to play with their neighbors.
"Yung neighbor namin, as in yung katabing bahay, friends niya lahat ng mga bata dun. So minsan nandun siya, nakikikapitbahay or sila sa amin.
"Parang we just try our best to make her interact with people more. Kasi that’s how you learn, e, when you interact with people."
Dani also does her best to stay healthy for her daughter.
"For myself, I try my best to be healthy. But, ang hirap, e! Ang hirap kasi mag-diet! Ang hirap mag-workout! And mostly pa, if ang dami mo ginagawa on a daily basis.
"So as much as possible, I just eat right, do my vitamins regularly and keep up with her in a sense na I do my best as a mom to always help her learn new things."
