Kris Aquino can't help but feel emotional about being temporarily away from her son, Bimby.
In an Instagram post on Friday, June 9, 2023, Kris Aquino revealed that her son had already returned home to the Philippines.
She shared some heartfelt photos of their final moments together before his flight on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
In her caption, Kris shared her decision of asking her son to return to the Philippines while she had to stay in the U.S. to continue her treatment.
She observed the stress and anxiety that Bimby was experiencing due to the responsibilities he had taken on to care for her.
The former TV host wrote, "Tuesdays are my immunosuppressant/chemotherapy day. He left to fly home on Wednesday - i only have until the end of June until i need to lessen my activities in high density places because by then my immunity will be too weak to fight any infection.
"Bimb & i discussed it, nakikita ko yung stress & anxiety my bunso was feeling.
"He’s had to grow up so fast because he needed to learn to be responsible in helping taking care of me; kawawa kasi nakikita nya the many new physical physical manifestations because from 3 when we came to the [US] a year ago, naging 5 na yung diagnosed autoimmune conditions ko.
"As his mama i felt for a few months he deserves to enjoy being 16."
Kris believed that Bimby deserved to have a fulfilling 16-year-old experience and understood his longing to be with their extended family.
She continued, "I knew after a year bimb was longing to be with his various titas (my sisters, cousins, and friends); titos (my brothers in law, cousins in law and the husbands of my friends); his many cousins & the kids of my friends. i love you [honey]
"It was heartwarming to see you & kuya together."
Kris also thanked her good friend, fashion designer Michael Leyva, for his support and friendship throughout the entire journey.
"Thank you @michaelleyva_ for being part of our family."
As she concluded her post, Kris lovingly expressed her affection for her sons and made a heartfelt commitment to undergo all necessary treatments, ensuring that she will be there for them for as long as they need her.
She wrote, "I love you w/ my whole heart, kuya & bimb. Mama promised she’ll go through all treatments so i’ll be around, God willing, while you both still need me."
In early June 2022, Kris Aquino departed for the United States accompanied by her sons Josh and Bimby to undergo treatment for multiple autoimmune diseases.
For the past year, she has been residing in Houston, Texas.
