How Isabelle Daza and husband Adrien Semblat divide parenting duties for their baby

Isabelle Daza finds breastfeeding a struggle: "Umiiyak ako sa sobrang sakit, and yeah, mahirap siya. Waking up early... no sleep talaga. It's more difficult than taping." But the 30-year-old first-time mom said she is continuing to breastfeed her son.

It has been six months since Isabelle Daza and her husband Adrien Semblat welcomed their son, Baby Baltie.

And the first-time parents are cherishing every moment of it despite the challenges.

As the 30-year-old celebrity mom put it, "Being a mom, yun lang yun.

"I think that in itself is a huge challenge."

Being working parents, how do Isabelle and Adrien manage huge chunks of their time with their baby?

"Naku, hati talaga kami. I really give him his time," she said.

"Siya yung nagpapaligo, then siya rin yung... the one who takes him to the park.

"'Tapos ako naman, I'll feed him, obviously. Well, actually, he does a lot of work.

"He also changes the diaper... I think it's just equal."

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) chatted with Belle briefly at the ABS-CBN Ball last Saturday, September 29, at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel.

The Kapamilya actress/host admitted her struggles in the first few days she was breastfeeding Baby Baltie.

She recalled, "Umiiyak ako sa sobrang sakit and, yeah, mahirap siya.

"Waking up early... and like, no sleep talaga. it's more difficult than taping.

"Hangga't kaya... a happy mom, means a happy baby.

"It's a wonderful moment with your child that you're never gonna get back again."

Belle said she has been preparing for her showbiz comeback, the biggest reason she has been trying to lose the weight she gained during her pregnancy.

She told PEP.ph, "I've been busy with losing the weight. So I gained like 65 pounds...

"And that's what I did for the last six months, and I'm ready to come back."

Asked about her fitness routine, she said, "Working out every day. Weights, cardio.

"I do treadmill. Sometimes I swim and cycle. So, it's a lot."

She added as an afterthought, "With social media nowadays, a lot of pressure is on being a full-time mom but, at the same time, working so I try not get sucked into that."
