Two Asian countries lead the Global Passport Ranking index of an international immigration consultancy firm that has been monitoring the "most powerful" passports list for almost two decades now.

Alam niyo bang mayroong World’s Most Powerful Passports list na inilababas taun-taon?

Ito ay ang Henley Passport Index, na ayon sa website nito, ay "original ranking of all the world's passports and the only passport index that is based on IATA data.

IATA stands for International Air Transport Association. Ang data na galing dito ang "most accurate travel information database," na siyang reference ng research team ng Henley & Partners.

Quarterly kung i-update ang Henley Passport Index.

At base sa listahan, makikita kung ilang bansa ang puwedeng puntahan ng passport nang hindi kailangan ng visa.

Nagagamit din ang index ng business travelers at investors, pati na rin sa emigration planning.

Indicator din ito ng economic inequality at wealth disparity, ayon sa Computer Science portal na geeksforgeeks.org.

Ang Henley Passport Index ay sinimulan 18 years ago ng Henley and Partners, isang immigration consultancy firm.

Ayon sa website nito, ang Henley and Partners, “is the global leader in residence and citizenship by investment.”

Dagdag nito, ang Henley Passport Index “is the original, authoritative ranking of all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa.”

Sa listahan, kasama rito ang 199 passports at 227 destinations.

Ang ranking ng passports ay depende sa dami ng countries na meron itong “access.”

At sa pinaka-latest index ng Henley, nangunguna ang Singapore sa Global Passport Ranking na merong access sa 193 countries.

Pangalawa rito ang Japan na may country access na 192.

Pitong bansa naman ang nasa third place na may access sa 191 countries. Ito ay ang Finland, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Spain, at Sweden.

Anim na bansa ang nasa fourth place at may access sa 190 countries—Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, at United Kingdom.

Apat na bansa ang tie sa fifth place na may access sa 189 countries—ang Belgium, Malta, Norway, at Portugal.

Ang Australia, New Zealand, at Switzerland ay pare-parehong nasa sixth place na may access sa 188 countries.

Sa seventh place na may access sa 187 countries ay magkakasama ang Canada, Czechia, Greece, Poland at United States.

Nasa eight place naman ang Hungary na may access sa 186 countries.

Ang Lithuania ay nasa ninth place na may access sa 185 countries.

Sa tenth place na may access sa 184 countries, tie ang Estonia, Latvia, Slovakia, at Slovenia.

Ang Pilipinas ay nasa 75th place na may access sa 66 countries.

Kabilang sa bottom list ang mga bansang Afghanistan(No. 105) , Syria (No. 104), Iraq (No. 103), Pakistan (No. 102), Yemen (No. 101), Somalia (No. 100), tie sa No. 99 ang Palestinian Territory at Nepal, at nasa No. 98 ang North Korea, Libya, at Bangladesh.
