Andi Eigenmann finds herself unexpectedly caught in a storm of controversy upon returning from a relaxing vacation in Japan with her paternal half-brother, Gabby Eigenmann, and their children.

The trip, meant to be a joyful family bonding experience, quickly turned into a moment of disbelief and frustration for Andi as she encountered baseless claims about her personal life.

"FAKING SADNESS"

On May 3, 2024, Andi took to her social media platform to address the rampant speculations that she had separated from her partner, Philmar Alipayo.

The trigger for these rumors seemed to be Philmar's absence from the family trip.

"I literally just went on a vacation with my brother and our kids, and come home to find out, through the internet, that i've just been separated...," she wrote in an Instagram story.

Her statement highlighted the absurdity of how online gossip can spiral out of control without any basis.

Furthermore, Andi shed light on the insensitive nature of these speculations, especially in the context of her grieving period following her mother, Jaclyn Jose's death.

She said, published as is, "The internet didn't seem to like that I was grieving the loss of my nanay.

"Apparently, according to them, i had been faking my sadness about it all along. (Not enough social media posts perhaps?)

"Due to this, the internet has decided that the reason for my sadness is not that i have recently been an orphan but in fact, a divorcee (even if i had never been married)"

The actress ended her post with a lighthearted plea for clarity, saying, "Helpppppp [laughing emojis]."

She also noted how "all the struggles of traveling with littles pay off when I see their eyes beam with joy each time we pass by beautiful nature sights, especially ones that are a bit different than what they are used to.

"It ignites their curiosity even more."
