It was short and sweet.
Piolo Pascual remarked on former girlfriend KC Concepcion’s present dating status: “I’m happy for her, you know?”
Piolo and KC’s breakup—one of the most controversial stories in 2011—led to innuendos about the actor not being fit to be one of ABS-CBN’s reliable leading men.
It was Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s daughter’s statements—“Hindi ako yung kailangan niya sa buhay niya or hindi ako yung hinahanap niya sa buhay niya. And hindi ko mabigay sa kanya yung kailangan niya”—that opened up talk regarding Piolo’s sexual orientation.

Two years have passed since the highly publicized split.
Both KC, 28, and Piolo, 36, have moved on. Both have been reported to be seeing other celebrities.
It was a month ago when KC was reported to have gone on a “group date with NBA Houston Rockets cager Chandler Parsons, but she has since denied any romantic link to him.

Meantime, Piolo has been rumored to be pursuing his OTJ co-actor Shaina Magadayao over the last couple of months.
Nonetheless, Piolo and Shaina have denied taking their friendship to the next level.
Both admitted only to being very close friends.
HAPPY FOR KC. Piolo’s brief statement regarding KC’s lovelife was made when the actor was asked earlier today, November 11, at a press launch in Raffles Hotel, Makati, to comment on the subject.
The actor responded with an amused expression, “I’m happy for her, you know?
“Ganun naman dapat talaga ang buhay. We want to be happy for everyone.”
Is he happy at his end?
Piolo replied, “I’m happy. I can’t complain. Happy naman, so far.”
Prodded to answer whether his friendship with Shaina has developed into a more intimate one, the Kapamilya actor merely quipped, “Okay naman kami ni Shai. Wala namang nagbabago dun.”
TONI HAS MATURED. Meanwhile, Piolo, who is working on a romantic-comedy film with TV host-actress Toni Gonzaga, said that the movie production is “more than halfway through.”
Directed by Olivia Lamasan, Unlove You is slated to premiere in February next year.
It may be recalled that Toni was first noticed in the 2001 Sprite TV commercial where her fan-girl character squealed: “I love you, Piolo!”
In his interview, Piolo said that Toni has definitely come a long way since her modelling days.
“You know, I was thinking about her yesterday.
"I was looking at her, because I look at her as parang bago pa rin, e.
“And then I realized she’s been in the business for ten years!
"She’s done a lot of movies.”
The actor, who has maintained his “ultimate heartthrob” status, remarked on how Toni has matured not only as an actress but a person.
“I’m in awe. I’m in awe kasi nakita ko talaga yung transformation niya.
"And, you know, para pa rin siyang bago sa akin.
“So, for me, nakakatuwa siyang tingnan, how she is really evolving and transforming.”
