Taguig court issues warrant of arrest for Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo, other suspects in Vhong Navarro case

Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo and other suspects may post bail amounting to P12,000 each.

Pormal nang nag-isyu ang Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court ng warrant of arrest para sa grupo nina Cedric Lee at Deniece Cornejo.

Ito ay kaugnay ng pambubugbog sa aktor na si Vhong Navarro sa condo unit ni Deniece sa Forbeswood Heights Condominium, Taguig City, noong gabi ng January 22, 2014.

Kasama rin sa pinatawan ng warrant of arrest sina Simeon “Zimmer” Raz Jr., Jed Fernandez, Ferdinand Guerrero, Jose Paolo "JP" Calma, at ang kapatid ni Cedric na si Bernice Lee.

Kinumpirma ni Department of Justice Secretary Leila De Lima na si Judge Bernard Bernal ng Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 74 ang nag-isyu ng warrant of arrest.

Ayon pa sa ulat ni Mark Mereunas ng GMA Network News online kahapon, April 14, lumabas ang desisyon ng korte ukol sa kasong grave coercion na kinahaharap ng respondents noon pang Biyernes, April 11.

Ang piyansa para sa kasong grave coercion ay nagkakahalaga ng P12,000 kada isang tao.

Sa kabila nito, inihayag ni Secretary De Lima na hindi puwedeng makaalis ng bansa ang sinuman sa grupo nina Cedric at Deniece nang walang pahintulot mula sa korte dahil sa mga nakabinbin nilang kaso.

“Even if it [grave coercion] is bailable, at least it would prevent any attempted departure by any of the accused.

“They need to post bail and secure court permission to leave Philippine jurisdiction,” paliwanag ng kalihim ng DOJ.

Idineklara ito ni Secretary De Lima matapos magtangkang umalis ng bansa ang isa sa mga suspek na si Ferdinand Guerrero bandang madaling-araw ng Lunes, April 14.

Bukod sa kasong grave coercion, nahaharap din ang grupo nina Cedric at Deniece sa kasong serious illegal detention, isang non-bailable offense ayon sa Article 267 ng Revised Penal Code.

Nagsampa ang DOJ ng kasong serious illegal detention at grave coercion sa grupo nina Cedric at Deniece sa Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court noong April 10, Huwebes.
