Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee, Zimmer Raz plead not guilty to grave coercion case; Vhong Navarro’s camp not open to settlement

"Vhong [Navarro] has made his position clear during the pre-trial for the serious illegal detention case that he is not open to settlement. As for the grave coercion case, my personal opinion in the matter is that Vhong is not interested in settlement and bargaining. That will probably be the outcome. But that’s yet to happen on June 2, which is three weeks from now,” says Atty. Alma Mallonga in a phone interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) to

“Yes, Vhong appeared as directed by the court at the hearing of the case.

“Bernice Lee and Deniece Cornejo were arraigned and both pleaded not guilty.”

CEDRIC, ZIMMER’S LATE APPEARANCE IN COURT.

Mallonga hinggil dito, “What happened was they were supposed to appear for the arraignment.

"I don’t know exactly why they did not appear.

“We asked the court for us to be enlightened on why they were not brought today for the arraignment.”

FUGITIVES OF JUSTICE.

Mallonga, “With respect to the grave coercion case, Jed Fernandez was required to appear in court for arraignment purposes.

“For that reason alone, there was a violation of the condition of his bail.

“The bail was therefore revoked and an arrest was issued against him.”

Sagot ng legal counsel ni Vhong, “They are fugitives of justice, plain and simple.”

NOT OPEN TO SETTLEMENT.

Sabi ng abugada hinggil dito, “Vhong has made his position clear during the pre-trial for the serious illegal detention case that he is not open to settlement.

"As for the grave coercion case, my personal opinion in the matter is that Vhong is not interested in settlement and bargaining.

“That will probably be the outcome. But that’s yet to happen on June 2, which is three weeks from now.”
