Nathalie Hart insists her Instagram post about rape is not a publicity stunt

"It was meant to cheer me up because I was very concerned about the hateful messages I was receiving. The purpose of the statement was to help me realize that you can't please everyone and you have to sit back and accept it," says Nathalie Hart about her controversial Instagram post.

“I did not intend for this to be a publicity stunt and never wanted the negative attention.”

Ito ang pahayag ni Nathalie Hart tungkol sa kontrobersiyal niyang Instagram post na nagsasabing: “If rape is inevitable, lay back and enjoy it.”

Paliwanag ni Nathalie, “It was a misinterpretation of what was said and the quote was taken out of context.

“I never had the intention to joke about the topic [about rape].

“It was meant to cheer me up because I was very concerned about the hateful messages I was receiving.

“The purpose of the statement was to help me realize that you can't please everyone and you have to sit back and accept it.”

“The prior messages were sent by someone I don't know to my private number regarding rumors that I don't know of, probably from a fan/hater.

“The messages were about threats towards me and my family, that's why the quote was supposed to enlighten me that I can't please everyone and to sit back and let it be.”

“I was never abused as a child and had a modest upbringing with my family who always taught me good values.

“I did not intend for this to be a publicity stunt and never wanted the negative attention.

“This incident was really hurtful for me and my family, and the fact that my family was dragged into this made it more traumatic for me.”

“If I could take it back, I would.

"I never wanted this attention, but I'm now dealing with the consequences as best as I can.

"I hope everyone can understand where I'm coming from and find it in themselves to forgive."
