Vice Ganda jokingly resurrected the issue about Vhong Navarro’s rape case in his Vice Gandang Ganda sa Sarili concert last Friday night, May 22.
Vhong came to Smart Araneta Coliseum as one of the guests.
For the segment where they tried to outshine each other, Vice and Vhong were joined by fellow It's Showtime host Billy Crawford.
Vice began, “Tayong tatlo, magpagwapuhan tayo. Payabangan, pataasan ng ihi.”
One of their topics: superheroes.
Vhong threw in, “Mas tanga si Spider-Man kasi may medyas sa ulo!”
Audiences cracked up over Vhong’s punchline and #spiderman even became a trending topic that night.
Acting as if he was upstaged by one of his guests, Vice lashed out, “Show ko 'to! Ang kapal ng mukha mo! Tumestigo pa 'ko sa'yo!”
It can be recalled that last year, Vice served as one of the witnesses, testifying that Vhong was with him in Island Cove, Cavite, for a show that happened on April 24, 2010, the day Roxanne Cabañero was allegedly raped by Vhong.
The rape complaint of Roxanne was dismissed in October 2014.
Back to the #VGGSS concert, Billy suggested that they talk about Filipino food.
Vice teased Vhong again, “Food? [Ikaw] Mahilig ka sa foods!”
The crowd chuckled, knowing that the Kapamilya star was referring to the text message—“Tara sa condo…Dala ka foods”—supposedly sent by Deniece Cornejo to Vhong.
And all Vhong could do was smile.
It can be recalled that what ensued after that text message was the mauling incident where Vhong was beaten black and blue.
Deniece filed two rape complaints, which were dismissed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) in April and July 2014.
