Jed Madela on Rhap Salazar's sentiment over artists who lip-sync: "There's a good side and a bad side."

Jed Madela says the lip-sync issue brings home a point. "Hindi lang talent ang importante. It's more of how you package yourself. I have nothing against non-singers who are filling up Araneta, filling up the Arena or selling albums. It's not them lang naman, it's them plus the people behind them and the market."

Saad niya, “In all honesty, with what Rhap posted, there’s a good side and a bad side.

“Good side, kasi for us singers, I agree with Rhap na sa industriya natin ngayon, hindi lang talent ang importante.

“It’s more of the packaging, it’s more of the gimmick, it’s more of how you package yourself.

“Kasi if you rely too much on talent lang, yeah, mapapansin ka, pero mas mapapansin ang iba na total package.

“In that aspect, I side with Rhap naman.

“Sa bad side naman, siyempre mayroon siyang mga nasaktan, natamaan, alam din naman niya.

“But he’s very vocal about his feelings."

Dagdag ni Jed, “Ako, personally, I have nothing against non-singers who are filling up Araneta, filling up the Arena or selling albums.

“It’s not them lang naman, it’s them plus the people behind them and the market.

“Pinaghirapan din nila ‘yan. I respect them in a way na they work really hard.

“They are blessed to be seen on TV, sa mga teleserye nila, sa mga guestings nila, sa mga endorsements nila.

“Siguro mas lamang sila.

“Wala akong sina-side-an, I agree and disagree with Rhap.

"I agree and disagree with the people who bash him.

“Ako, tahimik the whole time, kasi I don’t want to take sides.

“May point din naman din si Rhap, may point din naman ang mga fans na nasasaktan.

“I respect Rhap’s opinion and I respect also the opinions of the fans.”

BUCKET LIST. Kahit isa siya sa pinakamahusay na singers sa bansa, hindi pa nakakapag-solo concert si Jed sa malalaking concert venues dito, gaya ng Araneta Coliseum at MOA Arena.

Pag-amin niya, “Siguro isa ‘yan sa nasa bucket list ko talaga, to perform in a big venue here in the Philippines.

“I perform in bigger venues sa abroad, pero sa Pilipinas, Music Museum...

“I’m not complaining. I enjoy performing in a smaller venue, it’s more intimate, it’s more personal.

“Pero isa sa mga dreams ko is to perform either sa Araneta or Arena or wherever big venue.

"Sana magkatotoo.

“I hope and I pray that it will happen kasi iba yung feeling, e.

“Whenever I perform sa Araneta, sa mga Christmas special or sa mga events, iba yung high to sing for people in bigger venue.

“What more kung full concert na ako lang lahat?

"It’s gonna be a dream come true for me."
