Enrique made a public apology on TV Patrol last September 11 wherein he admitted his wrongdoing and apologized to those involved, specifically to Jessy Mendiola and her boyfriend JM de Guzman.

It was rumored that his rowdy behavior involved hitting on Jessy and this led to the Kapamilya actress receiving ill comments from fans.

Jessy’s mother Didith Garvida could no longer keep quiet about the matter and took to social media to address the bashers.

She warned them to “stop provoking me.”

DONE AND FINISHED. Jessy was a no-show at last night’s Star Magic Ball, but Jake Cuenca and Paulo Avelino showed up at the red carpet.

These two Kapamilya actors were also said to be involved in the incident, but both denied any participation.

Each of them has given Enrique friendly advices about treating the matter.

This did not rub off well with Enrique’s fans.

But in an article from Inquirer.net earlier today, Enrique pleaded for the bashers to stop.

“There were many erroneous write-ups that only aggravated the situation.

“It’s done, it’s finished,” he said.

The public apology was Enrique's way of "owning up to his actions” and he feels “good now that it’s finished.”
