Preview has set the record straight about the same-jacket issue involving Kalyeserye star Maine Mendoza (a.k.a. Yaya Dub) and stylist/Preview contributing fashion editor Liz Uy.
Last Wednesday, October 28, some of Maine’s fans expressed concern over Preview’s November 2015 cover shoot, where she was seen wearing a red and black Gucci jacket that was worn by Liz early this month.
This sparked speculations that Maine got caught in another wardrobe oversight, few days after her alleged “recycled” Cinderella gown at Eat Bulaga’s "Tamang Panahon" benefit concert made headlines.

After which, Liz drew flak from netizens who accused her of dressing up Maine with a “second-hand” outfit for the second time around.
Here are some of the comments from netizens about Maine and Liz's same-jacket issue:

But based on Preview’s Instagram post last October 28, the caption showed that it was not Liz but her brother Vince Uy who was in charge of “styling and creative direction” for the magazine’s November cover featuring Alden Richards and Maine (AlDub).
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sought both Liz and Vince for comment about the issue, but the two did not respond to our SMS message and Facebook message, respectively.
PREVIEW STATEMENT: MAINE WORE IT FIRST. But in an official statement published on Style Bible yesterday, October 29, Preview’s executive director Isha Andaya-Vallés explained that it was Maine who wore the Gucci jacket first during their cover shoot dated September 30.
Isha also clarified that Liz had no hand in styling Maine for Preview’s November cover shoot.
Apparently, Preview’s contributing creative director Vince was the one who “handpicked” Maine’s designer clothes, all “flown in exclusively for the cover shoot dated September 30.”
Liz, on the other hand, was seen wearing the same Gucci jacket based on her Instagram post dated October 1.

At the latter part of the report, it was stated that Liz was not present during the shoot, and “could not have known” about the same jacket issue with Maine since Preview is “strict about the confidentiality of cover story photos.”
As it is, Preview released its first teaser video of their AlDub cover shoot via YouTube last October 24.
At press time, Liz has yet to respond to the issue since she is reportedly abroad.
