Looks like things are running smoothly between Sam Milby and the non-showbiz girl he's rumored to be dating.
Although Sam refused to confirm reports pointing to Mari Jasmine as his “mystery girl,” the TV host-model attended The Milby Way, the Kapamilya actor's 10th anniversary concert, at the Kia Theater last night, November 28.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spotted Mari inside Sam's dressing room right after the concert.
Mari was quietly waiting at the other side of the dressing room while Sam granted several interviews with online reporters and photo-ops with selected fans.
MUM ABOUT NON-SHOWBIZ GIRL. Sam kept mum about his love life when PEP and two other entertainment reporters interviewed him.
He was also evasive about recent reports linking him to Mari.
The 31-year-old Rockoustic Heartthrob said, “Ayoko pa. It's too early.
“The things that've been coming out, they're all assumptions, kasi walang galing sa akin.
“Yun nga, it's still early. I still don't wanna talk about it.
“So I hope you understand.”
PEP gathered from Mari's travel and fashion blog marijasmine.com that she was born in Tokyo and spent most of her life in Australia together with her family.
Contrary to initial reports that she's a Fil-British model, Mari said in an interview that her mom is Japanese and her dad, English.
She currently works as a lifestyle TV host, model and blogger.
GLAD TO BE WITH PARENTS. Meanwhile, Sam shared that he felt overwhelmed that his parents were able to make it to his concert.
“Giving my spiel to my parents was the hardest part of the concert.
“I didn't expect that I would get emotional. I started crying. It was a bit hard.
“But it really meant a lot to me that my whole family is here watching for the first time.”
Sam has been looking forward to spending quality time with his parents, especially now that his dad is 81 years old.
Sam's parents are based in Ohio, but are currently vacationing in the Philippines in time for Christmas,
FRIENDSHIP WITH ANNE. Sam admitted he knew people would rib him and ex-girlfriend Anne Curtis about their kilig reunion number on stage.
The ex-couple sang Adele's “Hello,” Anne's choice for her production number with Sam.
The Kapamilya actor said, “I expected it.
“It's a song about ex-lovers, so nakakatawa rin yung lyrics.
“So madaming nagsasabi, 'O, bagay sa inyong dalawa.' I expected it naman.
“I'm just very thankful that we've been able to maintain the friendship.
“Siyempre, we won't keep in touch, but she agreed to be part of this also.”
Although things didn't work out between them, Sam is very vocal in saying that Anne will always be a big part of his life, on- and off-cam.
“Siyempre she was a big, big part of my ten years [in the business].
“She's a big, big part of my life also.
“Siyempre, you know, it wouldn't be complete if she weren't there.”
