Naglabas ng statement si Miss Germany Sarah-Lorraine Riek matapos maging viral ang kanyang panayam sa pageant forum website na Missosology tungkol sa controversial mix-up sa pagkaka-announce ng winner sa Miss Universe 2015.
Sa coronation night ng Miss Universe 2015, na ginanap sa Las Vegas noong December 20 sa US (December 21 sa Pilipinas), nagkamali ang host na si Steve Harvey sa pag-announce na si Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez ang nagwagi ng korona.
Ang tunay na nanalo ay si Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.
Noong Pasko, December 25, ay nanawagan si Pia sa pageant fans na itigil na ang pag-aaway at pamba-bash sa mga kapwa nito contestants sa Miss Universe.

Isa na nga sa inulan ng hateful messages ay si Miss Germany.
Sa video interview ng Missosology correspondent na si Natalia Cruz, na unang nai-post sa Missosology Facebook account, ipinahayag umano ng German beauty queen ang kanyang pagkadismaya sa naging resulta ng Miss Universe.
Sabi nito: “I really couldn't believe it. I was so upset. For me, Miss France is the real winner. I was very happy for Colombia and I think she really deserves it. But I'm really not happy with the result and so do the other girls. I'm sorry to say it."

Ngayong araw, December 27, nag-post si Lorraine ng mensahe sa Instagram account niya tungkol sa isyung ito.
Unang ibinahagi ni Lorraine ang kanyang experience sa pagbisita sa Pilipinas upang tumulong sa mga biktima ng typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda).
Sabi niya, "Hello beautiful people from all over the world. I'm gonna write a true statement from all my heart by tonight.
"There are some tryin' to hold me back to not start a war with media but I want to stop the fooling for money.
"Especially to the passionated fans from the Philippines, I love your country - I was there with my mom in 2013 to help in medical care after Haiyan and I made a lot of friends there.
"I want Pia to have the fans And support she deserves and I want all our Queens to get the LOVE they deserve.
"Each and everyone of them deserves respect and support, no matter what media is trying to tell you about who they are."
Kasunod nito ay sinabi ni Lorraine na ginamit lang ang eskandalong ito bilang bahagi ng isang "bad publicity" at para mapag-usapan ang pageant.
Dagdag niya, "Sadly there is a business behind it, a billion dollar business that only works with the right attention, the right scandals to make a lot of money.
"They don't care for 81 beautiful souls that just follow their dream, making friends for a lifetime.
"Please be patient. I will write with effort and all my heart, for each and everyone of you, for 80 girls and for Pia. #missuniverse #missuniverso #confidentlybeautiful"
Ang buong reply ni Sarah: "@bembem_valler yes I already knew that she's half German when she was in BBph. I rooted for her as I was amazed how hard she works in her dream."
Isa namang Instagram user ang nagtanong kay Lorraine kung bakit nasabi nitong walang bumoto para kay Pia.
Sagot ni Lorraine, ang boto nito ay para kay Miss USA Olivia Jordan na nakakuha ng 2nd runner-up position. Mas madalas daw kasi niya itong nakakasama.
Dagdag niya, nagkakausap pa rin daw sila ni Pia matapos ang beauty pageant.
"I voted for USA as she was with the same chaperone and that's how we spent a lot of time with each other.
"I spoke to Pia right the next day. We girls all know the truth, that's why I take the effort to talk to each personally.
"Media is using us to make a scandal, to make Money. Now all of us Are getting a Lot of hate Even if we're still all friends.
"We really are, we all Talk in whatsapp and that's my way to Show you people I Care for each and everyone OF YOU Not about PR. I don't want an official Media Statement, and Do Not support their way of using us."
JONAS GAFFUD. Samantala, nilinaw rin ni Lorraine ang tungkol sa bad experience diumano sa kanya ng grupo ni Jonas Gaffud, ang pageant trainer ni Pia mula sa Aces & Queens.
Kuwento ni Jonas sa kanyang Facebook status, hindi raw maganda ang naging pakikitungo sa kanila ni Miss Universe Germany matapos ang pageant.

Ayon naman kay Lorraine, sinabi lang nito sa grupo nina Jonas kung ano ang sinabi sa kanila matapos ang pageant.
Aniya, "@kimybookbosomed There was a crowd of people in front of my room and as we had a lot of security issues during the weeks
"I just told them that she is not here and that the new Miss Universe probably has a lot of press appointments before she's heading to NY (That's what we girls been told).
"None of them mentioned they are part of Pia's Team before the Security took over."
