Valerie “Bangs” Garcia took to social media to announce her engagement to her Filipino-British boyfriend Lloydi Birchmore.
In her Instagram post this Saturday, January 2, Bangs showed a short video of her boyfriend's proposal in Boracay.
The couple seemed to be partying in a certain restobar in Boracay when her boyfriend asked her to marry her.
Overheard amid the loud cheers of the crowd was the disc jockey's happy announcement, “Ladies and gentlemen, right there, Lloydie Birchmore just proposed to Valerie 'Bangs' Garcia!”
Bangs' caption of the said video read, “Yes baby ko. I will spend the rest of my life with you.
“GOD gave me the best indeed.

In a separate Instagram post, Valerie shared a poem she wrote for Lloydi titled “Sweet Horizon.”
Valerie further shared in her caption that she actually met Lloydi in Boracay exactly a year ago.
The 28-year-old actress wrote, “I am so happy we are here in our sweet horizon once again and we will always keep on coming back here as much as we can. Where it all began 365days ago...
“You make me the happiest baby ko @lloydiboi24!!!I love you.”
As previously reported on PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Bangs revealed that it was Lloydi who approached her when they saw each other for the first time.
Since then, they have regularly kept in touch and have taken turns in visiting each other.
Lloydi and his parents are based in London. But Lloydi's job as a property developer often takes him to different countries.
They officially became a couple last March 2015.

Clearly, Bangs and Lloydi are serious about taking their relationship to the next level since both their parents and other family members joined them in their Boracay trip this year.
