Alex Gonzaga relates her memorable conversation with Direk Wenn Deramas last Saturday, February 27, on their first taping day of a new TV project: "Sa love life, ito yung sinabi niya, 'Huwag mo iiyakan yung wala, mahalin mo kung ano yung natira.'"

Alex Gonzaga still can’t believe director Wenn Deramas is gone.

They just had their first taping day for a new weekly TV project last Saturday, February 27.

Two days after, on February 29, the box-office director succumbed to cardiac arrest.

Alex said, “Di rin ako naniwala, kasi noong Saturday to Sunday morning, magkasama kami, okay kami.

“'Tapos ngayon, Tuesday, dapat may second taping kami.

Prior to the new weekly TV show, Alex worked with Direk Wenn in the movie The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin.

The Kapamilya actress-TV host related how she was deeply touched by the director's trust in her ever since.

“Sinasabi niya sa akin, ‘Uy, ikaw, dapat gawin mo 'to, okay 'to,’ until nga na nag-Praybeyt Benjamin.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and two other media reporters interviewed Alex on Monday, March 1, on the second night of Direk Wenn’s wake at the Arlington Chapel in Quezon City.

PREMONITION? Alex recalled her conversation with Direk Wenn about death last Saturday.

“Noong last pa naming ma-pack up, sabi niya, ‘I have inner peace.’

Alex’s first and last taping day with Direk Wenn for their new show also turned out to be very fruitful for her.

She went home with nuggets of advice from the director.

Alex said she won’t ever forget the advice of Direk Wenn on love.

Alex left the chapel at 10:30 P.M. together with good friend and ASAP co-host Luis Manzano.
