Is Kathryn Bernardo no longer a member of Iglesia Ni Cristo?

Marlann Flores (extreme left) "shared the Gospel" to her close friends Trina Guytingo, Kathryn Bernardo, and Pamu Pamorada. Her post sparked speculations that Kathryn, who is known to be a member of Iglesia Ni Cristo, has converted into a different religion.

Is ABS-CBN star Kathryn Bernardo no longer a member of religious group Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC)?

Kapamilya actress/model Marlann Flores posted her photo with Kathryn and their close friends Pamu Pamorada and Trina Guytingco on her Instagram account, along with a caption saying that the Teen Queen has received Christ as "her own personal Savior."

The photo was posted on Saturday, May 7, with a caption that reads: "Kath and Trina both received Christ today as their own and personal Savior! Praise be to God! This year has been fruitful already! Let's proclaim God's name with boldness and conviction"

This post fueled speculations that Kathryn is no longer a member of Iglesia Ni Cristo

However, Marlann, in a different Instagram post, denied that she has converted Kathryn to a different religion and she was just "sharing the gospel."

The 20-year-old Kapamilya actress is yet to release a statement about the status of her affiliation with INC.

Rumors of Kathryn's 'disfellowship' from the religious group has been circulating since January 2015.

Kathryn's active endorsement for presidential candidate Mar Roxas has added to the speculations of her leaving the religious group since INC requires its members to vote as one, in line with the church's teachings and as a form of unity.
