Panimula niya, “It was my first time to attend such event… I was curious and my son was even worried that I was going…
“He said I won't fit in... I shrugged and said, I have to be updated to keep up with the times… and besides, music such as those type are for everyone…”
“I saw the teenagers dancing, wearing shades, masks, chewing gums.
“There was this teenage group (same age range as my son's) in front of us, that were obviously into something else...
“They danced for more than an hour, none of them holding any liquid. Obviously they weren’t on JUST alcohol…
“Their eyes were rolling, teeth grinding, & they were dancing non-stop for the whole hour (or more than). No liquids.”
“And then I saw this girl from that same group slowly going down on the floor and reaching out to her bf...
“Her eyes was still open, when she hugged the guy, I noticed something wrong…
“Her hands became stiff … I approached them and told their group to go to the medics…
“We hoped on our way home that she's ok…”
“LET THIS SERVE AS A LESSON.”
“And suddenly, we found out today that a teenage girl died from the event last night. I hope she’s not the same girl.
“We ate there, bought our drinks there and got from Johnny Walker booth… We slept good without hangover, the food and drinks we had were all clean.
“RIP to those who died from last night… never overestimate your bodies… to parents with teenagers like me, let this serve as a lesson to all of us and our kids...”
“NO TO DRUGS.”
Sabi niya, “It saddens me that young Filipinos died last night during the Close Up event.
“I just want to share my disappointment with certain things that transpired last night.
“We went there to watch our favorite DJs, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, who gave us a great show but I felt scared for the parents of the young attendees, between the ages of 12 and 18, because some of them were HIGH, as in really HIGH.
“They were not even minding the show. A lot of teeth grinding, inhalers, wearing shades (at 2am), chewing gum or wearing masks (to hide their teeth grinding) and you guys know what I am talking about.
“You can party without the drugs. You can feel happy without Ecstasy, Cocaine, etc. Taking drugs was, is, and will never be cool.
“And then towards the end of the event, a young girl collapsed in front of us. I had to call the attention of the security personnel to bring her to the first aid tent because her friends were so "sabaw" to think of what to do.
“I hope the girl is okay now. I hope she is not one of the casualties...
“NO TO DRUGS.”
