Labis na nasasaktan ang pamilya ni Karen Bordador dahil sa pangungutya, batikos, at pagkondena na natatanggap ng radio DJ matapos itong maaresto, kasama ang boyfriend niyang si Emilio Lim, kaugnay ng ilegal na droga.
Sa ipinadalang pahayag ng pamilya ni Karen sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ngayong Huwebes ng gabi, August 18, nakiusap sila na sana ay tigilan na ang panghuhusga sa radio DJ dahil hindi raw nila kilala ang totoong pagkatao nito.
Naniniwala rin silang lalabas ang katotohanan sa huli.
Narito ang buong pahayag ng pamilya Bordador:
“We, the Bordador family, are one with the public in condemning the usage and possession of illegal substances.
“But, we find it very painful and hurtful to face the harsh words, cursing, and criticism made by insensitive individuals who do not even have personal connection with Karen and our family.
“Karen has always been a kind-hearted, caring, thoughtful, generous, and loving person.
“She would be the last person to engage in activities that might bring harm to others.
“For those of you who really know Karen and our family personally, please share how Karen and we, as a family, have engaged in activities for the betterment of the community.
“Please help us encourage Karen by acknowledging the good things that she has done.
“We beg for your kindness and your good heart in putting an end to the criticisms that have unfairly painted a negative picture of our gracious daughter and caring sister, Karen.
"We pray to God for Divine Protection, Justice, and Truth during this very trying time.
“Lahat tayo’y haharap din sa tunay na hustisya na galing sa Panginoon.
