Rita Avila chose not to take sides in the controversy involving Agot Isidro, whose "psychopath" statement earned her a barrage of attacks from the supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte.
In her Instagram post this Saturday, October 15, Rita said there is now a divisive word war on social media.

Rita wrote, “Agot is hurt by what is happening in our country. In the process, she has hurt the president and his supporters. People hurt her back. Non-stop cycle."
Instead of debating about the issue, Rita appealed for peace and healing among Netizens.
"Lahat na tayong mga Pilipino ay sugatan. Ang galit ay senyales ng malalim na sugat.
"Magtulungan na lang tayong ipag-hilom ang isa't isa sa pamamagitan ng maayos na mga salita."
