Coco Martin recalls his experience being part of previous MMFF editions: "Nung nakasali ako dahil sa Feng Shui [2014] saka Beauty and the Bestie [2015], naramdaman ko yung saya.

Coco Martin was speechless upon finding out that his movie with Vice Ganda was not included in the eight official entries of the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

The Super Parental Guardians, which is directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal, was one of the mainstream movies not picked to be part of the Magic 8.

What is Coco's reaction to the exclusion of their movie from MMFF 2016?

"Noong nalaman ko talaga, hindi ako nakapagsalita," admitted Coco during the November 22 grand media launch oh The Super Parental Guardians held at Impressions restaurant, Maxims Hotel, Resorts World Manila.

Coco also disclosed that he made a promise to his Ang Probinsyano co-stars Pepe Herrera, Simon 'Onyok' Pineda, and Awra Briguela that he would include them if he made an entry for MMFF.

“Tapos, nung nakasali ako dahil sa Feng Shui [2014] saka Beauty and the Bestie [2015], naramdaman ko yung saya.

The two lead stars talked about their division of labor for The Super Parental Guardians.

The Super Parental Guardians will be screened in cinemas starting November 30, three weeks ahead of the film festival that begins on December 25.

Coco continued, “Mas nilu-look forward namin.

For his part, Vice Ganda previously admitted that he cried after reading messages of his supportive fans.
