Sunshine Cruz claimed that she's "in a much better place now," not only in terms of her career but also with her personal life.
The celebrity mom quipped, "I think not only my family and friends could see that, kahit publiko."
"Alam naman, e. Open book naman ang aking buhay pati sa publiko."
She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during a photo shoot for the 34th anniversary of Ever Bilena held in Antipolo City on Thursday, January 12, 2017, that she's more than happy now with how things are, including her love life with boyfriend Macky Mathay.
The couple confirmed their relationship on October 2016, more than three years after the actress filed for annulment with estranged husband Cesar Montano.
"Wala na yung kirot kumbaga, kasi alam naman natin ngayon na mas okay na buhay ko ngayon."
"Magpapasalamat ka na lang na may dumating na inspirasyon na someone who accepts you for who you are at kung ano man ang past mo."
Is she planning to keep her life private now compared to her past relationship?
"You know what, as much as I want to do that like yung nangyari sa akin recently, yung nakunan naman kami ng [picture], diba, gusto mo siyempre ng kahit papaano yung kahit konting privacy maibigay mo sa sarili mo.
"Pero kasi pag artista ka talaga, public property ka e."
Aside from her blossoming relationship with Macky, the 38-year-old actress revealed that her three daughters Angelina, Samantha, and, Francheska are really close to him.
They even spent the holidays together, including Macky's two boys Roan and Colin, at Sunshine's home in Paranaque City.
KIDS' FIRST MEETING WITH MACKY. Sunshine graciously recalled how her three daughters were enthusiastic to finally meet Macky in person.
She shared, "Before that [Christmas], nakilala na ng mga bata [Macky], kasi my kids always tell me, ‘Mom, when are we going to meet Tito Macky?'
"Nakakausap na nila sa phone even before.
"Actually, even before I met Macky, one month e, one month kausap ko lang sa phone, ka-text.
"Pati yung mga bata nakakausap niya so matagal din, matagal bago nila nakilala."
According to Sunshine, her girls have been waiting and wanting to finally meet him in person.
"Feeling nila lagi parang nadi-disappoint sila na pag dumadating ako sa bahay, ‘Is Tito Macky there?’ ‘Did Tito Macky drive for you?’
"'No anak,' sabi ko, 'I came from work.' Ganun ako lagi.
So when she had the opportunity to introduce him to her kids, the celebrity mom surprised them over a lunch out.
"So nung time na nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na sunduin ako sa airport ni Macky, dumiretso kami for lunch sa Alabang Town Center.
"I told the yaya, the helper sa bahay na bihisan yung mga bata at papuntahin sa Alabang Town Center.
"So we were waiting sa restaurant, together with my PA, ako, si Macky tapos yun, nung dumating sila sa restaurant, nagsisisigaw sila.
"Nagulat sila talaga and they were of course happy.
"And ngayon naman, so far so good.
"They’re really close to Macky.
"Ang bait e, mabait naman na tao kasi, kaya mabilis rin gumaan ang loob ng mga anak ko sa kanya."
BUSY CAREER. More than anything, she is also thankful for the acting projects and endorsements she's been receiving.
"Siguro nakikita naman ng ating Panginoon yung effort at yung ginagawa ko para mapabuti especially yung buhay ng aking tatlong mga anak.
"Yun naman ang importante sa akin e.
"Sabi ko nga e, wag lang ako mawalan ng trabaho and since naman I separated 2013, dire-diretso naman ang aking trabaho at of course nakakatuwa.
"Kasi alam naman natin na ako, alam ko naman na napakadami diyang artistang ang gagaling, ang gaganda pero walang trabaho.
The former Dolce Amore cast member remarked, "So ako, hindi ako nawawalan ng trabaho and yun pa lang, talagang sobra-sobrang blessing na para sa akin, kasi at least, I provide for the kids.
"I can provide kung ano pangangailangan nila.
"Siyempre mayroon pang konting mga bonus yan, nabibili ko pa sila.
"Dahil yan sa pagtitiwala nila sa akin and of course ng Ever Bilena and yung ibang mga endorsements ko pa."
