More beauty queens are arriving in Manila for the Miss Universe 2016 pageant on January 30 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The first to arrive early today, January 23, was the Mexican TV producer and actress Lupita Jones, who was crowned Miss Universe in 1991.
The 48-year-old former beauty queen is currently the director of Nuestra Belleza Mexico, a franchise of the Miss Universe pageant in her country.
She is here to support Mexico's candidate Kristal Silva for the pageant.
Aside from Lupita, other former Miss Universe titleholders are also rumored to attend the pageant to support the candidates from their countries.
Last Saturday, January 21, Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres updated her fans via Instagram of her possible return to Manila for the pageant.
The 42-year-old former beauty queen wrote, "Maaaring wala pa ako doon, pero malapit na."
The talk going around is she will sit as one of the pageant's judges.

Last month, Dayanara also confirmed that she will be represented by Manila Genesis Entertainment & Management Inc. in the Philippines.
The 30-year-old Japanese TV star Riyo Mori, who was crowned Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico, is on her way to Manila for the pageant.
A photo she posted on Instagram shows her luggage and her Miss Universe sash with the caption: "Good luck girls!"
The 35-year-old Canadian-Russian TV host Natalie Glebova has also confirmed she will be attending the Miss Universe pageant in Manila.
Natalie was crowned Miss Universe 2005 in Bangkok, Thailand.
She announced last Saturday, January 21, in a Facebook live video, that she will be accompanied by her fianc, Travelbook's founder and CEO Dean Kelly Jr., and their daughter Maya.
Natalie said, "We already went together in Manila a few months ago. We loved it there and the people, the atmosphere, everything's fantastic! So we're definitely looking forward to coming back to Manila and to see all the pageant fans. I'm really looking forward to experience that energy of the pageant once again."

Elise Dalby and Martine Rodseth, Norway's representatives to the 2014 and 2015 Miss Universe pageants, are already in Manila.
They are joined by Ukrainian dancer-model and Miss Universe 2014 2nd runner-up Diana Harkusha.
Also rumored to attend the pageant are Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega and Miss Universe 2003 Amelia Vega.
Miss Costa Rica 2014 is also on her way to Manila.
Miss Great Britain 2014 Gracie Levy is also coming to Manila.
