Sinampahan na ng kaso ng HODU&U Entertainment, ang talent agency na namamahala noon sa showbiz career ng yumaong South Korean actor na si Lee Sun Kyun, ang mga nagpakalat ng maling impormasyon sa pagkamatay ng aktor.
Noong December 27, 2023, natagpuang wala nang buhay si Lee Sun Kyun sa loob ng kanyang sasakyan sa Waryong Park sa Seoul, South Korea.
Ayon sa pulisya, natagpuan nila sa loob ng sasakyan ni Lee Sun Kyun ang isang bagay na pruwebang posibleng may kinalaman sa suicide ang pagkamatay ng aktor.

Sa opisyal na pahayag ng HODU&U Entertainment nitong Miyerkules, January 3, 2024, sinabi nilang kasalukuyan na nilang iniimbestigahan ang mga naglabasang balita patungkol kay Lee Sun Kyun na wala namang katotohanan.
Mababasa sa kanilang statement (base sa English translation ng Soompi.com), "Hello. This is HODU&U Entertainment.
"Recently, our agency recognized the fact that rumors and false information about our agency’s actors are being circulated.
"We began collecting relevant data and decided to take legal action at the same time. In the future, we will take firm action against all situations where false information is spread.
"In addition, we express our deepest regret over the malicious and indiscreet reports regarding the late actor Lee Sun Kyun by some media outlets over the past three months.
"We hoped that the truth would be revealed through a fair police investigation until the end, but since we can no longer do so, we would like to correct the facts one by one by ourselves."
Pagbabahagi pa ng HODU&U Entertainment, may isang reporter na silang natukoy, at kinasuhan na rin nila ito sa paglalabas ng artikulong wala namang katotohanan.
Saad ng talent agency ni Lee Su Kyun, "Consequently, on January 2, HODU&U Entertainment sued the reporter who reported false information as if it were fact on the night of December 27, 2023.
"We ask the reporter for a sincere apology and that they diligently participate in the legal proceedings that will follow."
Pakiusap nila sa publiko, huwag agad maniwala sa mga nakikita sa social media.
Under investigation pa lang daw ang kaso ng pagkamatay ni Lee Sun Kyun, kaya hindi pa ganap na tukoy ang sanhi ng kanyang pagpanaw.
Nangako rin silang sa oras na matapos ang imbestigasyon, isasapubliko nila ito.
Anila, "We would like to ask you one more favor. As the investigation is ongoing and has not yet been completed, we were inevitably unable to respond to all interviews.
"In the midst of this, we request that all articles as well as all posts that were published online without going through fact-checks or that come from unclear sources be corrected or deleted, so we once again ask you to take quick action.
"HODU&U Entertainment will continue to do our best to ensure that our agency’s actors can work in a stable environment.
"We ask for your understanding and cooperation."
Mula noong buwan ng Oktubre 2023, halos isang buwan bago siya pumanaw ay iniimbestigahan ng mga awtoridad si Lee Sun Kyun sa alegasyong may kinalaman sa illegal drug use.
Hindi pa tukoy kung may kaugnayan din ito sa biglaan niyang pagkamatay.

Si Lee Sun Kyun ay kilala sa kanyang deep voice, ay isa sa itinuturing na pinakamahusay at pinakasikat na aktor sa South Korea.
