Pop star Lizzo made this statement on Instagram, surprising many and baffling her fans and followers.
The "Juice" singer lamented how she feels disrespected and fed up with criticisms "because of how I look."
"All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it.
"But I'm starting to feel like the world doesn't want me in it," wrote Lizzo.

Lizzo said she's constantly been the subject of lies by people chasing clout and views.
It's no secret that Lizzo has a court case filed by her former dancers, accusing the singer of making them do things against their will and verbally abusing them.
She continued, "Being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look.
"My character being picked apart by people who don't know me and disrespecting my name.
"I didn't sign up for this s**t."

It wasn't clear though if Lizzo was planning to quit social media or the music industry altogether.
Her followers on Instagram rallied behind the singer, including celebrities like Paris Hilton and Sophia Bush.
Comedienne Loni Love advised Lizzo to "keep working" and "stay off the internet" for her peace of mind.
Lizzo, whose real name is Melissa Jefferson, has become one of the faces of body positivity.
Her love-hate relationship with social media is well-known, brought about by her battle against body shamers and bashers online.
This isn't the first time that Lizzo expressed a desire to quit the entertainment business.
She issued a similar threat in May 2023 after feeling overwhelmed by the comments mocking her weight and physical appearance.
