Liam Payne, a former member of pop boyband One Direction, is dead. He is 31 years old.
According to police, he fell from a third-floor hotel room in Casa Sur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, 2024.
In a televised interview, Alberto Crescenti, head of the city’s SAME emergency medical service, revealed that the victim sustained "very serious injuries incompatible with life due to the fall," adding that there was "no possibility of resuscitation."
He also said that Liam was brought to the Casa Sur hospital.

Liam became world-famous as a member of One Direction, which is also composed of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik.
The English-Irish boy band, formed in 2010 on The X Factor, became one of the best-selling groups of all time before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
In 2017, Liam debuted his solo career with the hit single "Strip That Down."
The following year, he collaborated with Rita Ora on "For You," one of the lead singles from the Fifty Shades Freed movie soundtrack.
His most recent single "Teardrops" was released on March 1, 2024. He co-wrote it with NSYNC member JC Chasez.

He and former The X Factor UK judge Cheryl Cole began dating in 2016.
The couple welcomed their son, Bear, in 2017, but parted ways in 2018.
