KATE AND LIAM'S TRIP TO SOUTH AMERICA
Liam and Kate had been in South America for a vacation, initially planning to stay for five days.
However, their stay extended to two weeks, prompting the Instagram star to leave Argentina ahead of the pop singer.
Kate shared her decision to return to Miami on October 12, just four days before the singer’s untimely death.
In a TikTok video posted on October 14, she explained her early departure, expressing her need to return to the U.S. "I was so ready to leave," she said.
"Honestly, love South America, but I hate staying in one place for too long. We were supposed to be there for, like, five days, but it turned into two weeks. I was just like, ‘I need to go home.’"
Despite developing a "weird rash" caused by anxiety before her flight, Kate arrived safely in Miami.
"I was so happy to be home," she said. "It was so relieving."

Little did she know that within days of her return, the world would be shaken by the tragic news of Liam's passing.
On October 16, the One Direction lead vocalist fell from the third story of a hotel in Buenos Aires.
Local authorities confirmed his death, citing "multiple trauma" and "internal and external hemorrhage."
While the exact circumstances of the fall are still under investigation, police had received a 911 call earlier that day reporting an "aggressive man" at the hotel.
An audio recording of the said 911 call, that circulated online, hints at what occurred prior to Liam's death.
