Trigger Warning: Mention of rape
Mahigit tatlong taong pagkakakulong ang naging sentensiya ng Seoul Central District Court sa dating miyembro ng K-pop group na NCT na si Moon Tae Il o mas kilala sa kanyang stage name na Taeil.
Ito'y matapos siyang mahatulang guilty sa kasong rape.
Bukod kay Taeil, guilty rin ang naging hatol sa kapwa niya mga akusadong sina Mr. Lee at Mr. Hoo.
May kabuuang tatlong taon at anim na buwang pagkakakulong ang ipinataw na parusa ng korte sa tatlo matapos mapatunayang lumabag sila sa Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishments of Sexual Crimes (Aggravated Quasi-Rape).
Bukod pa rito ang "40 hours of sexual violence education and imposed a five-year employment restriction at institutions involving children or adolescents."
Pahayag ng Seoul Central District Court (ayon sa ulat ng Soompi.com): "The defendants admitted to the crime, and based on the evidence, they are found guilty.
"The victim was in a state of helplessness due to intoxication, and the crime was committed at Mr. Lee’s residence.
"The foreign tourist is experiencing significant psychological trauma as she was assaulted in an unfamiliar place."
SENTENCE Reduced from Seven Years to Three
Noong June 18, 2025, hiniling ng prosekusyon sa korte na patawan ng pitong taong pagkakakulong sina Taeil.
Ngunit dahil sa pag-amin nila sa ginawang kasalanan ay nagdesisyon ang korte na babaan ang kanilang sentensiya.
"The court considered the fact that the defendants were first-time offenders and that the victim did not wish to pursue punishment as favorable factors," saad ng Seoul Central District Court.

TAEIL'S SEX CRIME SCANDAL
Nong June 2024, sumambulat sa publiko ang impormasyon tungkol sa sex crime na kinasangkutan ni Taeil.
Nangyari ito makaraang dumulog sa Seoul Bangbae Police Station ang babaeng naging biktima umano ng sikat na Korean idol.

Sa gitna noon ng imbestigasyon, nagdesisyon ang kinabibilangang talent management ni Taeil, ang SM Entertainment, na tanggalin siya sa NCT.
Sa opisyal na pahayag na inilabas ng SM Entertainment noong August 28, 2024, sinabi nilang kinausap nila si Taeil bago ito tuluyang tanggalin sa grupo.
Mababasa sa pahayag ng SM Entertainment (ayon sa English translation ng Soompi.com): "We have recently learned that Taeil has been accused in a criminal case related to a sexual offense.
"As we were assessing the facts related to the matter, we recognized the severity of the situation and determined that Taeil can no longer continue his activities with the team (NCT). After discussing with Taeil, we have decided on his departure from the group.
"Taeil is currently cooperating fully with the police investigation. We will provide further statements as the investigation progresses.
"We deeply apologize for the concern and distress caused by our artist."
Labis namang ikinabigla ng mga tagahanga ni Taeil ang pagkakatanggal niya sa NCT.
Bago kasi mangyari ang insidente ay nagpaalam pa si Taeil sa grupo na panandalian siyang magpapahinga para magpagaling matapos maaksidente sa motorsiklo noong August 2023.
April 2016 nang mag-debut si Taeil sa NCT Korean at mapabilang sa sub-unit na NCT 127 at rotational group na NCT U.
