K-pop idol and actor Ok Taecyeon is officially off the market!
South Korean actor and 2PM member Ok Taecyeon, 36, has announced that he is set to tie the knot with his longtime non-showbiz girlfriend.
Taecyeon made the announcement through a handwritten letter he posted on Instagram on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
In connection with the announcement, Taecyeon expressed his gratitude to fans who have supported him throughout the years.
He wrote (according to the English translation from Allkpop):
“I've decided to pick up my pen because I want to be the first to share my story with all of you, the fans who have always loved and supported me.
"19 years have passed since I debuted with 2PM. From my beginnings at 19 years old on the audition program Superstar Survival to now, I could only come this far because you were with me. So I felt that it was only right for me to deliver this news to you first.
"I have promised to spend the rest of my life with the one person who has understood and trusted me for a long time. We intend to walk the path of life together while being by each other's sides.
"Once again, I sincerely thank my fans for your unwavering support which has allowed me to come this far. You have no idea how much indescribable strength you gave me with your love and encouragement.
"I will do my best moving forward as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taecyeon to repay you for your love and trust.”

TAECYEON’S AGENCY CONFIRMS SINGER-ACTOR’S MARRIAGE PLANS
Shortly after Taecyeon’s announcement, his agency 51K Entertainment confirmed that the actor-singer and his girlfriend are getting married next spring through an official statement.
The agency said, “We would like to share news regarding Actor Ok Taecyeon. Ok Taecyeon has promised to spend the rest of his life with someone with whom he has been in a long-term relationship.”
They added, “The wedding will be held privately next spring, attended only by family and close friends.
"Please understand that as the bride-to-be is a non-celebrity, further details will be kept private."
51K Entertainment also said Taecyeon will continue his showbiz career after marriage.
"Going forward, Ok Taecyeon will remain dedicated to his career as an actor and singer. We ask for your continued support and warm blessings for Ok Taecyeon.”

FROM SECRET ROMANCE TO FOREVER
The marriage news comes four years after Taecyeon confirmed his relationship in 2020, when he was spotted on a date with his girlfriend in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, South Korea.
Earlier this year, engagement rumors surfaced when Taecyeon was seen kneeling and presenting a ring to his girlfriend in Paris, in front of the Eiffel Tower.
The viral photos fueled speculation about a proposal, which Taecyeon’s camp denied at the time.
The 36-year-old singer-actor is now the second 2PM member to get married, following Hwang Chan Sung, who tied the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend in 2021.
WHO IS OK TAECYEON?
Taecyeon first gained recognition after competing on the survival show Superstar Survival at age 19.
He debuted in 2008 under JYP Entertainment as a member of the K-pop boy group 2PM, known for hit songs such as “Heartbeat,” “Hands Up,” "With Me Again," and “Again & Again.”
Aside from being part of one of the most iconic second-generation K-pop groups, Taecyeon has also made a name for himself as an actor, starring in hit Korean dramas like Dream High (2011), Bring It On, Ghost (2016), Vincenzo (2021), Secret Royal Inspector & Joy (2021), and Heartbeat (2023).
