Miss Jamaica returns home after critical Miss Universe accident

MUO shouldered all the expenses for the rehabilitation of Miss Jamaica.

Miss Jamaica 2025 Gabrielle Henry has returned to her country after the specialized care given to her in Bangkok because of the unfortunate accident that happened to her during the 2025 Miss Universe pageant.

Nakauwi na si Gabrielle Henry sa Jamaica matapos ang halos isang buwan na gamutan dahil sa malalang injury na tinamo niya sa nakaraang Miss Universe pageant.

Ayon sa report ng Mexican daily newspaper na El Siglo de Torreon, itutuloy ni Miss Jamaica ang pagpapagaling sa kanyang bahay sa nasabing bansa sa Carribean.

“After critical weeks and specialized care, Henry will continue her rehabilitation at home, focused on regaining strength and stability, grateful for the support received and committed to gradually returning to her public activities when doctors authorize it,” saad sa report ng Mexican newspaper.

“Intracranial hemorrhage with loss of consciousness, a fracture, facial lacerations and other significant injuries” ang tinamo ng contestant, ayon sa official joint statement ng Miss Universe Organization at ng pamilya ng beauty queen.

Nilabas ang statement noong December 8, 2025 sa official Facebook page ng Miss Universe.

Matapos ang aksidente ay agad na isinugod si Gabrielle sa intensive care sa Bangkok.

Dagdag ng global pageant org, “From the time the incident took place, the Miss Universe Organization has stood beside Gabrielle and her family as if she were their own, assuming full and immediate responsibility without hesitation.”

Ang organization din ang sumagot ng medical bills ng 28-year-old opthalmologist. Nangako rin ito ng suporta sa susunod pang mga gastusin para sa rehabilitation.
