Isang Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) na nagtatrabaho sa United Arab Emirates (UAE) ang naka-jackpot ng AED10 million o tumataginting na higit sa PHP136 million.
Nanalo si Paterio, 52, sa weekly lottery sa UAE na Mahzooz.
Ang formal awarding kay Paterio ay ginanap nitong November 9, 2021.
Sa ulat ng Gulf News, nagbigay ng speech si Farid Samji, chief executive officer ng Ewings LLC, ang operator ng Mahzooz.
Deklara ni Farid habang katabi ang masuwerteng OFW, “We’ll address him by his first name, Paterio.
“Paterio works within the oil and gas industry… and he’s here today to complete the formalities.
“Everything is going on fine, everything is fine, we have received all the documentations, as there are procedures we follow here.
“And we are absolutely delighted that we’ve got a kabayan winner amongst us.
"Brilliant, excellent and he came all the way from Fujairah in the morning, so it’s quite a drive.”
Sinundan ito ng awarding ng tseke kay Paterio.
Nabanggit din sa ulat ng Gulf News na si Paterio ay taga-Laguna at nagtatrabaho bilang materials contract supervisor sa Fujairah, isang siyudad sa UAE.

Sinabi ni Paterio na malaking biyaya ang napanalunan niya para sa therapy ng kanyang isang anak na may cerebral palsy, at pantustos sa matrikula ng isa pang anak na kumukuha ng dentistry.
Ang bahagi ng napanalunan ni Paterio ay gagamitin niya para mag-invest sa UAE.
Plano na ring makauwi ni Paterio sa Pilipinas para makapiling ang kanyang pamilya at patayuan sila ng bahay.
Aniya, “A family house has been my wife’s greatest dream for years and now it’s time to finally grant her that wish.
“I’ve spent the last decade, toiling away alone in Madagascar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, just to ensure my family is comfortable.
“It’s time for me to be with them and help care for my children.”
Tatlong taon nang nagtatrabaho sa UAE si Paterio.
Sa kabilang banda, hindi ito ang unang beses na isang Pilipino ang nanalo sa lottery sa Dubai.
Siya ang ika-19th milyonaryo ng Mahzooz.
Nasulat dito sa PEP.ph ang apat na OFWs na naging milyonaryo matapos ring manalo sa Mahzooz.
Si Roland Baltazar, isang delivery rider sa Abu Dhabi, ay nanalo ng AED1,000,000 o PHP13 milyon.
Si Wendy Joy, di man nanalo ng jackpot, ay nakapag-uwi ng AED200,000 o PHP2.6 milyon.
Si Dennis ay nanalo ng AED142,857 o PHP1.8 milyon, at si Carl na nanalo ng AED500,000 o PHP6.4 milyon.
