Kuwento ni Deonnel Peren, kaibigan ng couple, sa kanyang Facebook post (published as is), “This wedding had been a dream for the couple since both of them love mountain climbing and desired to one day seal their love in the highest mountain of the Philippines."
Idinetalye rin ni Deonnel ang tungkol sa aniya’y, “1st ever Wedding Ceremony at the peak of Mt. Apo.”
“Our couple with seven of their friends travelled from Iloilo City to Bansalan to make their dream come true,” ani Deonnel.
“Typhoon Paeng struck... the climb was aborted because of strong wind and rain,” ani Deonnel.
“We woke up that Sunday morning with a beautiful sunrise,” ani Deonnel.
Wala silang sinayang na sandali.
“We hurried to take the 5 hours trek from the campsite to the summit...and the rest is history...”
“God's plan is still the best...we know He orchestrated this wedding to make it more beautiful and memorable for our couple.”
"Every relationship is unique and Lino and Nesgen wanted their exchanges of vows to be special between them in the presence of the officiating minister and sponsors...simple yet solemn...”
"FIRST WEDDING" AT MT. APO
Si Deonnel, 39, ay isang teacher/pastor sa Northeastern Mindanao Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
“They wed in Apo because they shared the same passion... they value health and wellness, environmental conservation, and faith to God.”
Inusisa namin si Deonnel sa aniya’y “first wedding ceremony in the peak of Mount Apo."
Sabi niya, “We assumed that this is the first wedding on the peak of Mount Apo since wala pa namang record na nangyari ito before (as I searched in the Internet)...
“It's just an assumption, unless someone would make a verified claim...
“For now, I believe it's the first wedding at the peak of Mount Apo.”
“That the most important part of wedding is the solemnity of it... the sincerity of the exchanges of vows.
“They held their wedding in one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines, where decorations are not fabricated by men, but designed by God beautifully...
“In the end, it's the LOVE that still prevails. For marriage (fulfillment of the vow) is still more important than the wedding (ceremony) itself.”
