Social media went ablaze on August 30 after GMA-7 released a teaser for Alyas Robin Hood.
This upcoming primetime drama series is topbilled by Dingdong Dantes along with Andrea Torres and Miss World 2013 Megan Young.
Based on this first-look at Dingdong's character, some netizens accused the Kapuso Network of copying a Hollywood TV series titled Arrow. Stephen Amell stars as the Green Arrow in this show produced by CW Network.
A fan-made poster added fuel to the fire after it went viral on Facebook with some netizens believing that it was the official poster of the GMA show.

In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), creative consultant Suzette Doctolero clarified that the show's inspiration is the British folklore of Robin Hood and not DC Comics' character Green Arrow.
Witty netizens suggested new shows for the Kapuso Network on Twitter via the hashtag #PitchAShowToGMA. It was even a top trending topic for several hours!
