UPDATE Metro Manila malls reduce operating hours starting March 14

Major malls in Metro Manila are cutting down their operating hours to 7 p.m. starting today, March 14, in compliance to the curfew to be imposed all over the region which starts tomorrow, March 15.

Simula March 14, 2020, magsasara na ng alas-siete ng gabi ang ilang major malls sa buong Metro Manila.

Habang ang iba naman, pansamantalang ititgil ang kanilang operasyon.

Ito ang kaukulang aksyon ng mall operators sa curfew na, ayon kay Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Jojo Garcia, ay inaasahang ipatupad ng Metro Manila local government units (LGU) kasabay ng "community quarantine" o "lockdown" sa buong Metro Manila.

Ang lockdown ay isa sa mga preventive measures na idineklara ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong March 12 upang labanan ang pagkalat ng 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic sa bansa.

Hindi lamang sa Metro Manila iniimplementa ng Robinsons Malls ang adjusted operating hours, kundi pati sa kanilang malls sa Pampanga, Naga, at Cebu City.

SHANGRI-LA PLAZA

Ang Shanrgi-La Plaza ay magsasara ng 6 p.m., isang oras bago ang closing time ng karamihang mall na 7 p.m.

Bilang karagdagang safety measures, kanila ring nililimitahan ang entrance at exit points, maging ang parking spaces na bukas para sa customers.

168 SHOPPING MALL

Maging ang 168 Shopping Mall sa Binondo, Manila ay magpapatupad ng shortened schedule ayon sa curfew ng Metro Manila.

Base sa kanilang customer service representative, "Simula bukas [March 16], 8 a.m. hanggang 5 p.m." ang kanilang store hours.
