“Senator Aquilino Martin Pimentel III breached MakatiMed hospital infection control protocols.
“March 24, 2020 - Infection Control Protocols of the Makati Medical Center Delivery Room were breached by Senator Aquilino Martin D. Pimentel III.
“Rest assured that stringent protocols for decontamination of the facility and evaluation of involved healthcare workers have been done.”
Mariin pa nitong pahayag: “We denounce the irresponsible and reckless action of the senator.
“He added to the burden of a hospital trying to respond in its most competent and aggressive manner to cope with the daunting challenges of this CoViD-19 outbreak.
“More than anyone else, Mr. Pimentel should have realized the ardent desire of every well-meaning Filipino and every dedicated healthcare institution to contain the spread of the infection.
“His admonition for everyone to observe social distancing, enhanced community quarantine measures, washing of hands and personal hygiene are nothing but empty rhetoric because he himself violated all those.
“By his actions, he contributed no solution.
"In fact he created another problem for Makati Medical Center, the very institution which embraced his wife for obstetric care.”
PIMENTEL WAS ALREADY PUI WHEN HE WENT TO MAKATI MED
Paliwanag niya, "As early as March 11, there’s been a report of a resource speaker in one of their [senate] sessions ang nag-positive sa COVID-19.
“Several days or even during that time, Senator [Nancy] Binay po and Senator [Sherwin] Gatchalian went on quarantine already.
“Sa akin po, yun ay signal that you should already do something.
“March 14, the good senator has already body pains similar to flu symptoms.
“March 16, nag-announce na po si Senator [Juan Miguel] Zubiri that he is positive, ‘no.
“And true enough, March 20, at least four or five days ago, the senator had himself tested. That’s on record."
Patuloy niya, "When you have yourself tested, you’re gearing towards a positive result or a negative result.
“And therefore, to be safe, you want to err on the safest side, mag-iingat po tayo nang todo.
“You implement very strict home quarantine protocols."
Nilabag daw ito ni Senator Pimentel.
“He did not do that, and went to Makati Medical and violated home quarantine.
"PUI na po si Senator by the time he went to Makati Med.
“That's already on record kasi meron na po siyang nararamdaman.
"It's no longer a matter of having the result which they claimed they got on the evening of March 24.
“The fact that you have symptoms—he’s not PUM, naging PUI na po siya—dapat ang ibayong pag-iingat.”
“We have been able to track all of those.
Ayon kay Dr. Javier, “Siguro po, roughly six to eight people.
"But we also go beyond those 6 to 8 people, kasi yung mga nakausap po nun, we will also have to track.”
Magla-lockdown ba sila dahil sa pangyayari?
Sagot ng MMC medical director, “Hindi po. I don’t think that’s enough reason to lock down the area.”
Pahayag niya sa News Night ng CNN Philippines: “I'm sorry that this happened. Farthest from my mind yun.
"I am an expectant father, sinamahan ko yung wife ko who was supposed to give birth without finding na positive po ako."
