The year 2020 promised to be the reunion year of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla onscreen, but plans for their future film and TV projects had been put on hold.
Kathryn and Daniel acknowledged this during their joint interview in the Star Magic Love From Home fan session livestream last Saturday, July 4.
When host Jai Ho asked the young Kapamilya couple about any upcoming 2020 projects, Kathryn and Daniel directed their answer to the most pressing issues—the COVID-19 pandemic and the ABS-CBN franchise renewal.
Kathryn wants to secure the return of their home network first before thinking about their upcoming projects.
Congress will hold the final hearing for the franchise renewal on July 6, Monday.
After the hearing, 46 members of Congress will vote whether or not to grant the media giant a new 25-year legislative franchise.
